Melodi Grand Prix General Per Sundnes leaves the Norwegian broadcaster and Eurovision Song Contest. He worked with the Norwegian pre-selection five years and was one of the hosts between 2008 and 2012. He also was the commentator in NRK.
Per Sundnes explains that his contract with NRK ends and that he wants to move on to new challenges. During Sundnes’ career in Melodi Grand Prix, he got credit for bringing third victory to Norway when Alexander Rybak won the contest in 2009. The last three years, however, weren’t so succesful as Norway missed the final in 2011 and came last in the final this year.
Per Sundnes will be starring Norwegian version of popular “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy” reality show on commercial channel TV3.
